Agent Spotlight: Patrina Coppin – January’s Top Agent

From the classroom to the closing table, Patrina Coppin’s journey into real estate has been anything but conventional. Born and raised in Harlem, NY, Patrina always had a passion for education and working with people. When her family relocated to Florida, she followed, landing in Ft. Pierce as a teacher, where she fell in love with the profession. But life had different plans. A transition into the Medicare industry eventually led her to a career pivot, and at the suggestion of a friend, she decided to give real estate a shot.

At first, she wasn’t sure if it was the right move, but after taking a 7-day in-person real estate class, she decided to go all in. After some procrastination, she finally took her state exam, passed, and joined LPT Realty two years ago. Fast forward to today, she’s thriving in her first year with Paramount Home Group and was just named Top Agent for January 2024!

The Grind That Led to the Top

For Patrina, the key to success in January was simple: non-stop action. She wasn’t home much—she was out showing properties, staying on the phone, and driving wherever the business was. Living in Port St. Lucie, she frequently made the drive to Palm Bay to ensure her clients got exactly what they needed. Every call that came in, she answered, always focused on building genuine relationships. Her motto? “Home Journey by Patrina”—because finding a home isn’t just about buying a house; it’s about securing the place you truly want and deserve.

A Team That Feels Like Family

Even though she’s still learning and sometimes feels nervous, Patrina knows she has a team she can rely on. At Paramount Home Group, she’s found a culture of support, training, and mentorship that makes the challenges of real estate easier to tackle. Every meeting and training session helps her grow, and she appreciates that the learning never stops.

What Sets Patrina Apart

Patrina believes in deep listening. Instead of telling her clients all about herself, she takes the time to truly understand their motivations, goals, and needs. She keeps her PHG iPad handy, taking notes and embedding every detail into her strategy. With her background in education, she feels a personal responsibility to teach her clients—whether it’s their first purchase or their fifth, she makes sure they’re just as informed as she is.

Her service-first mentality comes from her mother. Patrina prioritizes what benefits her clients more than what benefits her. The interaction and connection mean more to her than just closing a deal. She values clarity, honesty, and education, ensuring her clients feel confident every step of the way.

Finding Balance

While she loves the hustle, balance is something she’s working on. Between taking care of clients, spending time with family, and looking after herself, she’s making it a priority to introduce massage therapy and holistic self-care into her routine (we’re working on getting it on her calendar!).

Outside of real estate, Patrina has a deep love for art. Inspired by her childhood art teacher, Mrs. Lacy, who took her to NYC museums, she hopes to revisit her passion for drawing and painting.

Looking Ahead

For 2025, Patrina’s goal is to keep growing—helping more clients, creating lasting relationships, and building a business where clients return time and time again. One of her earliest real estate connections was with a roofer who worked on her house. She sparked up a conversation, and a year later, he reached out to purchase a lot. That one connection led to four more purchases and two referrals—a reminder of why she does what she does.
